So reading a bit, a webpage said I had to uninstall the nVidia driver, reboot, then install the ATI (fglxr) one. In an attempt to get better video, and after much searching around if it was possible, I bought an ATI Radeon 4770, carefully cut it down to size, attached power cables to it, and replaced the GT card.īooted fine (same way, first the built-in card boots, then the new ATI card took over) but it was clear I didn't have GFX acceleration. The system would boot to the ATI chip, get to the part where I entered the encryption unlocking code, and once successfulyl entered, the GT card would take over. ![]() Server hardware, Dell Poweredge 2900(iii) with built-in ATI ES1000 (which I cannot disable)
